This surprisingly large waterfall has been flying under the radar. I just found out about it when scouring our Facebook Group in early January 2024. Yes, we are still finding neat places like this. Our group is a fantastic resource for waterfall fanatics!

This long waterfall is found at the east outlet of Santoy Lake. The Steel River drops a total of about 20 m along this stretch, possibly more. There are two waterfalls visible on the aerial photo. I think that the one showing in the image is closest to the lake. If I'm wrong, the lower falls is just 200 m downstream.

It is not possible to visit this waterfall on foot. It is possible to paddle about 3.5 km north along the eastern shore of Santoy Lake. The driving directions lead to what I believe is an accessible spot to put in a canoe or kayak. I haven't visited this spot; if you do, please let me know what you find.
