This is a narrow washboard waterfall on the side of the gorge eroded by Felkers Falls. It is very often dry, and many people in the Hamilton waterfall community make it a challenge to find it when flowing. It sits high up on the side of the gorge, and is difficult to reach.
The washboard shape is formed by the presence of hundreds of thin layers of bedrock. Each year, small chips of these layers are plucked away, resulting in erosion into the side of the gorge.
To find the falls, follow the directions to Little Davis Falls. Find a place to park on Quigley Rd or Hildegard Dr. Near the corner of these two roads, there is a city path that passes between two homes. Walk behind the houses and then turn left. You will soon reach Little Davis Falls. A trail leads up the river valley towards Felkers Falls. Part way along, you should be able to see Taro Falls, high up on the valley to your left.
