Sometimes this falls is called 'Sometimes Falls' Can you guess why? Yes, it can run low during summer time. And with a small watershed of just 10 square kilometres, there isn't a lot of water to spare. A number of wetlands in the watershed likely help to maintain a least a minimum flow during these dry periods.
The falls is about 2-3 m high, but looks small from the road. This is because the crest of the falls is not much higher than road level. The base is located in the roadside ditch, out of view unless you get up close.
The falls are set right beside Hwy 108 and can be viewed from your car. If you choose to park along the road for a longer view, you do so at your own risk. A guard rail that prevents people from parking in front of the falls is not very long, and soon gives way to wiider shoulders on the west side, both north and south of the creek gully.
