Another one of Hamilton's wet weather-only waterfalls. This is a pretty falls, but you will need to time your visit to the period right after a storm during spring or maybe a wetter fall season. The creek is small and does not even show up on the provincial mapping system.
An upper washboard section is formed by thin bedded bedrock; likely the same formation on which nearby Taro Falls is fouind. Below, the creek falls over a massive dolostone layer, which is probably the same layer at nearby Little Davis Falls.
Remember, the sedimentary rocks throughout Hamilton and Niagara occur as continuous layers; nearby waterfalls usually share the same bedock, as long as they occur at the same elevation.
Found just east of Veevers Park. There is no parking along Greenhill Ave and so visitors have parked on Blanche Court right across from Veevers Park. In order to reach the falls one would have to cross Greenhill Ave. There is no crosswalk, so anyone visiting must cross with caution. Turn left and walk past the four houses on that side. Shortly after, an entrance for the Bruce Trail is on the right.
The trail leads into the woods, straight away from the road. As it climbs, the falls become visible in the distance. The total walk in the woods is no more than 100 m. Remember to wait for a wet period of the year, not just a 10-minute thunderstorm.
