Most experienced waterfallers know about Magpie Falls, Silver Falls and Wawa Falls. But there is a fourth site in Wawa that is much smaller than the others, but still worth a visit.
The little falls is found at the end of a short trail that leads west from the bend in Hardy Ave. It is my understanding that the trail follows a road allowance that was never occupied by an actual road. The trail includes a small hill. About half way down the hill, visitors can cross a footbridge that connects with Superior Ave.
A decent view of the falls can be had from the footbridge, although the view is looking downstream. By continuing further down the hill, there are a few places to access the stream bed for a look backupstream. I found there to be a lot of brush that made it difficult to move around beside the stream bed.
By continuing just a bit further, the trail reaches the edge of a bay in the Magpie River. By looking across the bay, visitors can get a great view of Wawa Falls in the distance (see entry for).
