About Yankee Falls Upper

There are two waterfalls at Yankee Falls. Sometimes we use one name in this situation, but in other times we use two. No rules! The upper falls is broader and lower, while the lower falls is narrower and taller. In both cases, the falls are pretty small, with no more than a few metres' drop at each. Both give you that feeling of being beside a quaint little falls hidden in the woods... even though you are just 10 m from the road! But the road is pretty quiet; it provides access for people canoeing the west edge of Algonquin Park. Parking is very limited; there are a couple of very small wider sections of gravel on the right side of the road. I didn't drive further, but it appears that there is an actual pull off area on the right side of the road, just a few hundred metres upstream. The road to the falls is quite scenic, especially in fall. I have only visited in fall, but suspect that the falls are fairly reliable throughout the year.
