This waterfall is hidden in the woods, and requires a 10-15 minute hike along a well-marked trail. It is a narrow, steep cascade about 8 m high that is preceded by a slide section with prominant grooves eroded out of the rock. It is often deserted, but on warm summer days can actually be quite busy with day hikers.
NOTE: Many people find the small artificial falls upstream of the road and think that this is all that there is of the falls. The bigger, real falls is found at the end of the hike from the big open parking area. Visitors walk away from the road and stay close to the river. At the far side of the clearing the trail enters the woods.
This waterfall is featured in the 'Waterfalls of Ontario' book. Please pick up a copy to learn more. This helps to support this project. NOTE: There are no safety railings at this waterfall. Anyone that chooses to visit does so at their own risk.
