This is a gorgeous, unspoiled waterfall that visitors can walk fairly close to. The creek seems to pop out of nowhere, and fall over a steep cascade. A natural viewing area right in front of the falls lets people safely get right in front of the base of the falls. NOTE: Visitors must not climb the rock face of the waterfall.

This creek does dry down significantly in summer and fall, and thus a spring visit is recommended (this shot was taken in May 2023; flows were already receding). At higher flows, the entire rock face shown in this image is covered by whitewater. And it's amazing.

From the parking area, visitors follow the loop trail in a counter-clockwise fashion. The first few minutes along the trail are very steep, but manageable for most. It flattens out after this. After about 10-15 mins the trail meets the blue side trail, which leads to the falls in just 3 minutes. Upon arrival, you can see the falls from an elevated position. A gentle slope takes visitors right to the foot of the falls. If there are no bugs, this is a great place to get away from it all.

Visitors that still have energy left after the falls often return to the main trail and continue around a grand loop. This leads to a considerably smaller falls, but also, eventually, to the big prize for this trail: a superior lookout from the 100 m high Robertson Cliffs. In autumn, the view is a highlight of Algoma.
