Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.
Warning: Waterfalls are dangerous - You aren't permitted to use this site unless you read, understand and accept the Website Disclaimer

The tallest waterfall in Hamilton, at just over 40 metres. Unlike most of the other falls though, this is on a relatively small creek, and thus can dry down to almost nothing during summers. Visit at the right time, and this turns into a true gem. One could argue that this deserves 4 stars, but I knocked a star off because of very limited accessibillity and frequent low flow.

In response to the heavy demand, the Conservation Authority has implemented admission fees, parking restrictions and at times, the need to reserve a time slot to visit. In 2023, the admission fee was $11 per car. I highly recommend that you check the web site before visiting. NOTE: Access to the gorge below is prohibited.

This waterfall is featured in the 'Waterfalls of Ontario' book. Please pick up a copy to learn more. This helps to support this project.

Waterfalls of Ontario Project

This project has been online since 1999, in print since 2003, and on social since 2011. (See archives: 2003, 2012, 2018). It was the first to inventory and map Ontario's waterfalls for recreational purposes. With your continued help, it grows. Learn more...
