Our Responsibility
Waterfalls get closed when people are injured or ruin lands.

Please don't trespass, don't litter, and stay on the trail.
Warning: Waterfalls are dangerous - You aren't permitted to use this site unless you read, understand and accept the Website Disclaimer

This beautiful site is also known as Grand Falls, Smokey Hollow Falls or Grindstone Falls. The good news is that a great viewing platform makes it easy to get close to the crest of the waterfall. The bad news is that you can't wander around in the gorge below the falls. The site is patrolled by by-law officers and the fine can be substantial.

The falls are at least 10 m high and generally flow all year. Just upstream from the platform you can see the remains of an old mill. Be warned, however, that the parking lot for the site is quite small. It's a good idea to avoid this location on warm weekends, as the parking lot frequently fills up.

This waterfall is featured in the 'Waterfalls of Ontario' book. Please pick up a copy to learn more. This helps to support this project.
