This is an excellent example of a slide class waterfall. The falls is more of a natural "water slide" than a cascade or plunge falls. At medium to lower flows, there is lots of exposed, polished bedrock that can be explored.
The waterfall is surrounded on the far side by a row of cottages. No problem this time, as the publicly accessible side is where all the interesting ground is found. NOTE: Visitors must not use the slide for swimming. People have died here doing just this.
This waterfall is featured in the 'Waterfalls of Ontario' book. Please pick up a copy to learn more. This helps to support this project.
